Jonah Adkins is a dedicated and accomplished education professional with a wealth of experience spanning over two decades. Most recently, Jonah served as the Director of the Office of Safety & Student Support at the West Virginia Department of Education, where he led efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of K-12 students across the state. In this role, he collaborated with state leaders, presented critical information to the West Virginia Board of Education, and contributed to legislative discussions to shape impactful education policies.
Before his tenure at the state level, Jonah held the position of Director of Technology, Curriculum, and Assessment for Lincoln County Schools, where he was instrumental in advancing innovative learning strategies and enhancing academic outcomes. He also served as a Middle School Principal for seven years, fostering strong educational communities, and began his career as a classroom teacher, inspiring students and laying a solid foundation for their academic growth.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Jonah is a proud husband and father to three children. He enjoys traveling, fly-fishing, and embracing the natural beauty of his home state, West Virginia, through various outdoor activities.
