ZDS Design/Consulting Services

The story of ZDS Design/Consulting Services begins in 1914 when Walentin Zachwieja arrived at Ellis Island and migrated to West Virginia to find work in the coalfields. His son, Ted T. Zachwieja, would be the first in their family to graduate college, becoming a mechanical engineer in 1958 and starting the family business. By the early 1980s, Ted A. Zachwieja II would graduate as a mechanical engineer and join the business along with his wife, Lori Zachwieja. And by the early 2000s, Ted Zachwieja III at 16 would join ZDS Design/Consulting Services, making it a three-generation firm.

ZDS Design/Consulting Services provides comprehensive engineering services for buildings, including heating, ventilating, air conditioning, engineering, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and indoor environmental quality. They are engineering lead, focusing on performance solutions that architects cannot.

In late 2019, they began the process of moving their office to Scott Depot, WV. Advantage Technology was with them every step of the way, supplying all IT infrastructure, including structured cabling, Wi-Fi, smart conference room technology, servers, storage, workstations, laptops, and managed services.

ZDS Design/Consulting Services still relies on Advantage Technology for managed services and IT support to this day.
